Glycerine is a natural liquid extracted from vegetable. It's a common ingredient in natural skincare. It is a humectant, and it draws water from the environment. 

Glycerine is a transparent liquid that has no odour and a thick, viscous consistency. Glycerine has many functions, it is a self-preserving ingredient, it attracts and holds moisture.

INCI: Glycerin

Use level: 1 - 10% is typical

Solubility: Water soluble.

Temperature: It is temperature stable and you can heat if necessary

Source: Glycerine is a by product of saponification, Non-Palm, Vegetable Source:  Derived from Canola Oil and Soy

Note: Glycerine is a humectant and in small amounts is hydrating, this is why it is usually add it to formulations, however if you add a very high percentage to your formulation, it can actually have the opposite effect and draw moisture from the skin.

Although Glycerine is preserving, this does not mean it can be used as a 'preservative'

Packaging: All our 50, 100ml and 200ml products are packaged in amber glass. The 200ml and 500ml is in PET plastic.
