Australian Sandalwood Hydrosol is earthy, woody, smooth, and pure.
Australian Sandalwood Hydrosol is a by-product of the distillation of Australian Sandalwood Essential Oil (Santalum spicatum) which is extracted through the steam distillation of stems, branches and rootball for around 4-7 days. It's a long distillation process which makes this hydrosol amazing!
As the fragrance is earthy and woody it is wonderful when mixed with other floral hydrosols such as Rose or Lavender. It helps form a lovely basenote. You can spritz on the face as a gorgeous toner, and use it to freshen and add moisture to skin in dry atmospheres.
You can use Australian Sandalwood Hydrosol when creating skincare. It can be used as part of the water phase in your formula.
