Buy fair trade Shea Butter in Australia

Our organic refined shea butter is extracted using traditional West African methods, it's fair trade, and supports the women of Ghana. To create the butter, the fat is extracted by boiling up the nuts in water, then grinding into a paste until the oils start to separate.

This butter is refined by a process using clay which produces a white, odourless Shea butter. This makes it a great base for skincare and cosmetics as the colour is white, and has little odour.

Shea butter melts at body temperature and easily melts into the top layers of the skin.

How we use Shea Butter:

  • Lip Balm
  • Body balm
  • Body butter
  • Lotions
  • Creams
  • Soap making

INCI: Butyrospermum Parkii

Appearance: Cream, White to light yellow

Melting Point: 32 to 46 degrees Celsius

NoteShea butter is temperature sensitive. As it warms it melts, as it cools it gets harder. When it melts completely, or if it's overheated, it can get grainy when it re-hardens.

Packaging:

Our Shea Butter is packaged in a PET amber jar, which you can wash and re-use. It may also come packaged in a kraft bag.
