Buy Ecomulse or Ritamulse SCG  in Australia

Ecomulse, also known as Ritamulse SCG, is a wonderful plant-derived, ecocert, emulsifying wax.

Ecomulse can be used for natural skincare products such as lotions, creams and  moisturisers, it is a fabulous addition to body butters, and can help create lovely fluffy butters, that glide over the skin. It has a soft, conditioned feel to the skin with a powdery-like finish.

It can be formulated to create cleansing balms and cleansing oils, so when the product comes in contact with water, it self-emulsifies and washes off the skin.

This all in one emulsifier is suitable for oil in water (O/W) emulsions.

Why use an emulsifier?

Emulsifiers are typically used in creams and lotions to mix (emulsify) the water with oils. They are the magic ingredient that keep the oils and water together.

INCIGlyceryl Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol and Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate

Suggested Usage Rates:

You can use this as the sole emulsifier and how much you use depends on what viscosity you prefer.
3 - 4% Light, low viscosity (thinner cream)
6 - 8% Thicker viscosity products (thicker cream)

Appearance: White/ivory beads or flakes

How to formulate with Ecomulse

Melt Ecomulse into your heated oil phase.

Formulating tip: The ideal pH range for finished formulations using Ecomulse emulsifier is 5–7.5.  Anything more or less may cause the emulsion to become slightly unstable quicker than it normally would. You should check if this is compatible with the pH range recommended for your chosen preservative.

This product may not be suitable for acidic ingredients

Use level: 2%- 10% as the sole emulsifier. It can emulsify up to 25% oil phase.

Temperature: This melts at temperatures of between 61-67C but it can be heated to higher temperatures if needed. We heat our formulations to 70C.
